Oaxaca Bound

The Coleman Family's 2017 vacation, destination Oaxaca Mexico. The highlight of this trip will be witnessing the Guelaguetza festival and having my brother and his wife travel with us. ¡Vamanos!

LA from above

With a six hour layover in LA we found a mall to pass the time until we had to be back at the airport to meet up with my brother Warren and his wife May.

A few hours in the air, we travel through time and space, landing in Mexico City at 1 AM, 3 hrs ahead of California time.

The Mexico City Aeropuerto has to be one of the largest in the world!

We had a 6 hour layover, and since it was about 2 in the morning there wasn't much to do but Play Yatzee, eat french fries, watch videos, and try to stay warm.

7am and we're finally boarding the last plane to take us to Oaxaca! After enduring what seemed like the longest layover ever, we were rewarded with beautiful skies.

Landing in Oaxaca

Our AirBnb hosts Jose & Leticia picked us up at the airport then took us through town to their favorite local market for breakfast. Some of us were too tired. ;)
